Dr. Virginia Albert-Poyotte - Minister with responsibility for the Public Service

Under the Caribbean Digital Transformation Project, or CARDTP, Saint Lucia is leading a regional push for safer digital spaces with the launch of a new cybersecurity awareness campaign.

The event was designed to educate and empower vulnerable groups which include youth, seniors, women, small business owners, civil servants, and the public. The initiative is aimed at reducing cyber vulnerability, building trust in digital services, and encouraging safer online behaviour.

Speaking at the launch, the Minister with responsibility for the Public Service, who also oversees Public Sector Modernization Hon. Dr. Virginia Albert-Poyotte, reaffirmed her government’s support for building a modern, secure digital future for Saint Lucia. She emphasized the need for public engagement and education in addressing cyber threats.

This regional campaign is being executed through a joint effort by the Organisation of Eastern Caribbean States (OECS), The World Bank, and CARICOM IMPACS, in partnership with the participating governments.
