The King’s Trust International and Royal Saint Lucia Police Force are celebrating the success of the Team programme aimed at youth unem- ployment and crime prevention Since its official launch in January 2023, the programme has supported four cohorts and engaged 57 young people, achieving a 90% positive outcome rate.
The fifth cohort commenced in January 2025 and concluded in March.
The Team Programme, a youth development initiative designed by King’s Trust International and delivered by Royal Saint Lucia Police Force, sup- ports unattached and at-risk young people aged 17–30, particularly those facing barriers to employment, education, or training.

The programme is supported by key sponsors, including the Sandals Foundation, the Maria Holder Memorial Trust, and Kestrel Liners, whose contributions have been instrumental in its success.
The pilot report published in 2025 provides an in-depth evaluation of the programme’s effectiveness, highlighting the following key outcomes.
Across the two pilot cohorts (Jan – March 2023 and June-August 2023) 95% of participants secured employment within six months of completing the programme.
100% of participants reported improvement in at least one core skill, including communication, teamwork, and confidence.
