The Fire One Calypso Tent has once again secured the Calypso Monarch title with Dezral, the defending Monarch retaining his crown.
His winning songs were “The Kaiso Goat” where he paid tribute to calypso greats including the Mighty Pelay and his dad the Mighty Pep who has won the title a record nine times.
Former Monarch TC Brown of the Kaiso Pros Tent placed second, missing the title by two points with debutante and the 2024 Carnival Queen LuShanne securing the third spot for the South Calypso Tent.
Placing four was a former Monarch the Educator, also a member of the Fire One Calypso Tent.
