Baron Group of Companies Inc is expanding its facilities in the south of the island through a $45m investment spread over a 7-acre site along the St. Jude’s Highway.


The complex will be home to Baron Food brands: Creative Snacks by Baron (snack food production), Soft & Tender by Baron (paper products production), Baron Distribution Inc. (logistics and warehousing), and the headquarters for Baron Group of Companies Inc.


The development also features the highly anticipated Baron Experience Centre, designed to connect visitors and customers with the brand in innovative ways.


Jobs, opportunities & Local Impact Construction of the complex is expect ed to take approximately 20-24 months.


During this period, the project will employ 50 - 75 full-time workers across multiple trades, directly benefiting the Vieux Fort & neighbouring communities.


Once completed and operating at full capacity, the complex will support 150 permanent jobs, spanning manufacturing, distribution, administration, and retail roles.


The influx of employment and training opportunities is expected to have a significant multiplier effect on the local economy.


The sod-turning ceremony was attended by Prime Minister Philip J. Pierre, the Minister of Commerce and the President of the Saint Lucia Manufacturers Association.
