Zinga Venner

Zinga Venner, a Saint Lucian National, is the Vice President and World Bank Group Controller since October 1, 2025.


She is an experienced chartered accountant and finance professional with over 30 years of combined experience working with the WBG and in public accounting.


As the WBG Controller, Ms. Venner leads a global team of finance and accounting professionals and is responsible for providing leadership and oversight of the financial operations across the WBG entities.


Prior to her current role, Ms. Venner was the Director and Controller of the International Finance Corporation (IFC), the WBG entity that supports the private sector in developing countries.


She was responsible for leadership and oversight of IFC’s financial operations covering over $67 billion of loans, equity investments, and debt securities, as well as treasury operations covering over $40 billion of liquid assets and over $70 billion of borrowings.


Before joining the World Bank in April 2000, Ms. Venner worked in the Audit and Assurance practice of Price waterhouse Coopers.


She holds the Certified Public Accountant, Chartered Financial Analyst, Financial Risk Manager, and Chartered Global Management Accountant designations. She also has an MBA in Accounting and Finance and is an alumna of the Harvard Business School.
