VAT-free day in December - new government to decide the date

Prime Minister Hon. Philip J. Pierre has announced that a VAT-Free Day will be implemented in December 2025 but has yet to determine which day has been designated for this inaugural tax event.

Mr. Pierre has assured the public that “there is ample time after Election Day for Parliament to meet and legally authorise the measure, ensuring that it is carried out in full compliance with the nation’s laws and for the direct benefit of the people of Saint Lucia”.

The Prime Minister reiterates that, under his leadership, the Government of Saint Lucia will continue to respect the institutions of democracy and conduct the affairs of the nation with transparency, accountability, and integrity.
