Sir Arthur Lewis Community College and the Ministry of Education of Saint Lucia recently participated in the BHMS Caribbean Partner Summit 2026, hosted by BHMS Business & Hotel Management School in Lucerne, Switzerland.

The summit brought together representatives from across the Caribbean, the United States, and Switzerland for focused dialogue on hospitality, tourism, culinary arts, international education, student mobility, internships, and workforce development.

During the summit, delegates gained insight into the BHMS educational model, which combines six months of academic study with six months of paid internships.

These internships provide practical experience, strengthen professional skills, and expose students to international work environments and networks.

SALCC has an existing Memorandum of Understanding with BHMS, creating a valuable 2 + 1 pathway for students.

Through this arrangement, students complete their Associate Degree at SALCC and then proceed to BHMS in Switzerland for one additional year to complete their Bachelor’s Degree.
