Saint Lucia and CAF forge new partnership for sustainable development

October 30, 2025, the Government of Saint Lucia and the Organisation of Eastern Caribbean States (OECS) Commission formalised new pathways for cooperation with the CAF – Development Bank of Latin America and the Caribbean.
This engagement marks the beginning of a deeper partnership aimed at unlocking investment and strengthening regional collaboration to advance Saint Lucia’s national development agenda.

The following activities will be undertaken to cement this new phase of cooperation:
- Signing of a Letter of Intent for Saint Lucia’s membership in CAF
- Signing of the first grant agreement with the OECS for the Energy Green Print Initiative
- Strategic discussions on key development priorities, including infrastructure, tourism, renewable energy, agriculture, and social development
These initiatives represent another step toward sustainable financing, energy transition, and regional growth, advancing the Government’s vision of a resilient and inclusive Saint Lucia.
