PM Pierre promises to double YEA grant funding in second term

Prime Minister Philip J. Pierre has announced an intention too double the grant funding allocated to the Youth Economy Agency (YEA), should his party be returned to office.

Through YEA over 1,900 young persons have received grants and loans totalling nearly EC$8m.

Close to 5,000 young people are now engaged through business support, mentorship, and training opportunities.

A statement from the PM’s office says the pledged underscores the Government’s continued commitment to empowering youth entrepreneurship and expanding access to economic opportunity across Saint Lucia.
