
PM Pierre leaves for CARICOM Heads meeting

Prime Minister Philip J. Pierre has confirmed his attendance at the Fiftieth (50th) Regular Meeting of the Conference of CARICOM Heads of Government scheduled to take place in Basseterre, St. Kitts and Nevis, from Tuesday, 24 to Friday, 27 February 2026.
The Meeting will convene under the theme “Beyond Words: Action Today for a Thriving, Sustainable CARICOM,”.
The meeting will provide a strategic platform for advancing collective action on regional priorities including the CARICOM Single Market and Economy (CSME), climate change and climate financing, food and nutrition security, regional security, transportation, reparations, foreign and community relations, and other pressing global and hemispheric issues.
Prime Minister Pierre’s participation underscores Saint Lucia’s continued commitment to deepening regional integration and unity of purpose among CARICOM Member States.
As Incoming Chair of the Conference for the first half of 2026, Saint Lucia will work collaboratively with regional partners to support the implementation of decisions arising from Heads of Government deliberations and to sustain momentum on key regional objectives.
