OECS Youth and Women in Agriculture Symposium takes place Tuesday

The OECS Commission, in collaboration with Grenada’s Ministry of Agriculture, Lands & Forestry, is hosting the OECS Youth and Women in Agriculture Symposium on Tuesday.

The event will equip participants with practical training in agribusiness development, climate-smart agriculture, digital innovation, leadership, and access to finance and markets.

Key focus areas include Climate-Resilient Farming: Gaining practical knowledge in modern, sustainable techniques and Agribusiness & Digital Skills.

There will also be focus on Developing entrepreneurship and digital marketing competencies.

Other subject matter includes Finance & Market Access: Connecting participants with financing opportunities, grant programs, and regional market strategies.

The agenda also include a focus on Regional Networking & Policy: Building connections with agricultural leaders and contributing to discussions on boosting youth and women’s participation in Caribbean agriculture.

The symposium takes place at the Radisson Grenada Beach Resort, Grand Anse, St. Georges.
