The Community Tourism Agency (CTA) successfully convened a stakeholder consultation to advance the development of a new tourism offering in the community of Micoud.

This initiative seeks to responsibly showcase and integrate Saint Lucia’s internationally recognized seamoss product into a unique and sustainable visitor experience.

The consultation was designed to ensure alignment with shared goals and to support the long-term environmental and economic sustainability of the product. Stakeholders were engaged to provide critical expertise, insights, and guidance to inform the planning process.

Discussions focused on gathering the necessary information and perspectives to shape an experience that protects natural resources, supports the local economy, and authentically represents the community. Key areas of engagement included regulatory frameworks, environmental considerations, and community benefits.
