Kick off meeting to start works to create road access at En Champagne Anse La Raye

Strong Saint Lucian expertise is driving the Millennium Highway and West Coast Road Reconstruction Project (MHWCRRP), with local contractors and consultants playing leading roles across multiple project pack ages.

Beyond rebuilding a critical national artery, the Project is maximising the benefits of this EC$135 million investment for the local economy through the direct engagement of Saint Lucian contractors and consultants.

In Champagne, Anse La Raye, contracting firm Builtec Inc. and Consultant Caribbean Consulting Engineers (St. Lucia) Ltd. are up grading infrastructure for the resettlement of households affected by the new bridge.

In Roseau, CEO Company Inc. and local engineering consultant Mr. Kofi Dovor are constructing a new food court and souvenir market with 25 vendor booths and supporting facilities in Roseau. This initiative relocates roadside vendors into a safe and accessible hub, clearing the road corridor for reconstruction works while creating a more modern trading space for small businesses.

On the main highway itself, FDL Consult Inc., a wholly Saint Lucian firm, is providing oversight across all roadwork lots, ensuring that designs and execution meet international standards of quality and resilience.

The reconstruction of the new Anse La Raye Bridge (Lot 2B) is being carried out by an other local firm, O.B. Sadoo Engineering Services Ltd., whose team is tasked with delivering the island’s newest reinforced concrete girder bridge, a vital link in the national network.
