Department of Public Service tours proposed new home for EC Supreme Court

On Thursday, August 28th, a delegation led by the Minister for the Public Service, Labour and Gender Affairs, Hon. Dr. Virginia Albert-Poyotte, along with key stakeholders, conducted an official tour of the Orange Grove Plaza, the proposed new headquarters for the Eastern Caribbean Supreme Court.
The site visit marks a significant step in the relocation process, which aims to provide enhanced working conditions for court staff and support the ongoing modernization of the region’s justice system.

The Orange Grove Plaza has been identified as a suitable location to accommodate the operational needs of the Court, offering improved infrastructure and greater efficiency. This initiative is part of the government’s broader commitment to strengthening public institutions and enhancing service delivery.

“The Eastern Caribbean Supreme Court plays a vital role in upholding the rule of law across our member states,” said Hon. Dr. Virginia Albert-Poyotte. “This proposed relocation reflects our dedication to ensuring that our judicial officers and staff have access to a work environment that supports their critical functions at the highest level.” The official handover of the keys to the facility is expected in the coming weeks, with a grand opening anticipated in October.
