Grenada launches major tour guide training initiative
Published on September 7, 2026

Grenada will later this month host a National Tour Guide Training programme, as part of the OECS Commission’s regional EC-STEMS Project (funded by the Caribbean Development Bank).
Undertaken through the T.A. Marryshow Community College (TAMCC), this specialized program empowers local experts to turn environmental stewardship into sustainable economic growth.
Training dates are September 21 – November 27, 2026.
The tour guides will get a better appreciation of Grenada’s natural attributes from marine biodiversity to unique terrestrial ecosystems.
They will also develop skills relating to superior customer service, professional etiquette, and tour guiding safety standards.
There will also be training in critical business skills to attract visitors and build sustainable, nature-based livelihoods.
