The Government of Saint Lucia continues to place high priority on improving the Ease of Doing Business (EODB) as part of its broader strategy to bolster the country’s investment climate and stimulate sustainable economic growth.
Minister for Tourism, Commerce, Investment, Creative Industries, Culture and Heritage, Hon. Dr. Ernest Hilaire, has emphasized the Government’s critical role in supporting business growth and attracting impactful local and foreign investment opportunities.
In an increasingly competitive trading environment, improving business systems and streamlining administrative processes are essential catalysts for economic development.
The Government is therefore focused on ensuring that mechanisms, regulations, and institutional frameworks support a modern, efficient, and responsive business environment. Central to this effort is the strengthening of key Ease of Doing Business performance indicators to facilitate investment and promote seamless and efficient business operations.
The Forum will allow stakeholders to discuss challenges, share perspectives, and identify practical solutions to better inform policy decisions and reforms intended to enhance the country’s business environment.
The Ease of Doing Business Forum will be held on Thursday, April 9, 2026, from 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., and livestreamed via various government platforms. Stay tuned to official government social media pages for further updates.
