The Fond St. Jacques Credit Cooperative Society Limited has expanded its impact on education with the launch of a full secondary school scholarship for the first time in its history.

The Dominique Prospere Scholarship honours one of the credit union’s founding fathers while setting a new standard for community investment.

For 3 decades, the Fond St. Jacques Credit Cooperative Society Limited has been a pillar of its community. Last academic term, the credit union wrote a new chapter in its story, going beyond its traditional bursary program to award a full scholarship for the very first time.

The Scholarship was named in honor of one of the founding fathers of the credit union, Dominque Prospere.

Shanil Solomon is the first recipient of the Dominique Prospere Scholarship. The secondary school student achieved a remarkable 98% in his CPEA exam, placing him among the top performers in the country.

Solomon expressed gratitude for the support, noting that the assistance eases the financial burden on his family and strengthens his determination to excel at the secondary level.
