Budget presentation begins tomorrow with the Estimate

The Finance Standing Committee will convene in the House of Parliament on Tuesday, March 24th at 10:00 AM.

Then at 5:00 PM, the Prime Minister and Minister for Finance will table the 2026/2027 Estimates for Revenue and Expenditure.

The Debates on the 2026/2027 Estimates for Revenue and Expenditure will run from March 25th-26th at 9:00 AM daily.

Prior to this the Prime Minister held meetings with the heads of departments of various government agencies to evaluate national priorities, review ongoing projects, and address emerging challenges.

The meetings sought to align proposed programmes and projects with Government of Saint Lucia’s goals of sustainable development, economic growth, and social well-being.

Focus areas included healthcare, national security, infrastructure, education, and job creation with an emphasis on strategic investments.

Last year’s budget stood at $2.05 billion.
