Dr. Alison Gajadhar-Foster publishes guide for leaders and entrepreneurs

The former Director of the Saint Lucia Bureau of standards and former senior public servant Dr. Alison Gajadhar -Foster has just published her first book “Designed to Thrive – a Pathway to Building Resilient Systems”.


Special guest speaker Dr. Axel Kravatsky the Co-convenor of ISO’s Technical Committee on Governance standards says “Designed to Thrive” draws on Dr. Foster’s wide-ranging experience at the Bureau of Standards.


The book translates her experiences and prescriptions into principles that can be applied by leaders in all sphere’s of society.


A few specially invited guests shared their reflections on the book, among them the Director General of the OECS Commission Dr Didacus Jules who gleaned from the book that that building resilience may require some level of disruption.


Among other guests who endorsed the publication were Dr. Gene Leon - Executive Director, Development Bank for Resilient Prosperity and Ms. Natalie John - Founder & CEO of the Dreamy Group.


Former Prime Minister Dr. Kenny D. Anthony also spoke at the book launch noting that while the subject may appear intimidating, Dr. Foster’s “Designed to Thrive” is written in a language that is universal.


The newly minted author has promised that the principles outlined in her book will help leaders, entrepreneurs, and change-makers future-proof their organisations in a era defined by complexity and disruption.


A number of guests joined remotely among them Dr. Foster’s University lecturer, classmates and professionals. They all highly recommended “Designed to Thrive” as a game changer.
