The Community Tourism Agency (CTA) continues to position itself at the forefront of community tourism development in Saint Lucia through strategic initiatives to strengthen tourism MSMEs, enhance service quality, and improve the sustainability of community-based tourism experiences across the island.

On Thursday, May 21, 2026, the Agency hosted a Public Liability and Tourism Service Standards Workshop, bringing together more than 40 community tourism partners and stakeholders for a day of practical learning and industry engagement.

Facilitated in collaboration with the Saint Lucia Bureau of Standards and WJ Montgomery, the workshop focused on critical areas including tourism service standards, customer experience, safety procedures, risk management, emergency preparedness, and public liability insurance.

The initiative forms part of the CTA’s broader mission to professionalize and empower community tourism operators while ensuring that Saint Lucia’s authentic cultural and heritage experiences remain globally competitive.
