CHTA President commits to CTO’s Reimagine Plan

Sanovnik Destang, President of the Caribbean Hotel and Tourism Association (CHTA), has shared with the CTO Board of Directors his commitment to supporting CTO’s Reimagine Plan.

He said it is in keeping with CHTA pillars technology, people development, and stronger linkages.

He highlighted initiatives including the Artificial Intelligence Guidebook for Caribbean Hospitality, a United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA) partnership to promote women’s leadership in tourism.

Mr. Destang also spoke of the Young Leaders Program (80% female), and a demand study to explore the potential linkages between Caribbean tourism and other sectors, including agriculture and the orange and green economies.

He noted that advocacy initiatives are also in motion to address key industry challenges and opportunities.
