CTA host Community Tourism Experience Day
Published on February 9, 2026

On Monday, January 26, 2026, the Community Tourism Agency (CTA), in collaboration with the Saint Lucia Tourism Authority (SLTA), hosted a Community Tourism Experience Day as part of the SLTA’s annual Global Conference activities.
The event brought together International Market Representatives from the UK, USA, Canada, France, Germany, and the French Antilles, creating a strategic platform to showcase Saint Lucia’s diverse community tourism offerings.
With marketing assistance being one of the CTA’s core support services and the SLTA serving as the destination’s official marketing agency, the day was curated to allow representatives to assess market readiness while immersing themselves in the authenticity and “Saint Lucianess” reflected in community-based tourism products across the island.

Mr. Louis Lewis, Chief Executive Officer of the SLTA, reinforced this, stating: “It was a great opportunity for the SLTA to gain firsthand experience of new community tourism products on the market. This enables us to effectively communicate the attractiveness and authenticity of these offerings to the travel trade and potential visitors, while ensuring alignment with various market niches.”

Overall, the initiative strengthened visibility for community tourism offerings, while also marking another step forward in the CTA’s ongoing efforts to diversify tourism products island-wide.
