The National Council of and for Persons with Disabilities has of ficially launched a state of the arts aquaponics facility and its associated Organic Able brand. The facility is located in the south of the island and is operated and managed by persons with disabilities.

The National Council of and for Persons with Disabilities undertook this aquaponics project to demonstrate that its members are capable of contributing to national development in this case through food security and entrepreneurship.

The project was made possible through an injection of $135,000 from GEF SGP UNDP and this in spired meaningful contributions from the private sector, the Embassy of the Republic of China (Taiwan) in St. Lucia, and other government agencies.
