LUCELEC recognizes team member excellence at annual staff awards

LUCELEC Department of the Year
St. Lucia Electricity Services Limited (LUCELEC) recognized and celebrated the outstanding achievements of its team members at the recently held Staff Awards ceremony under the theme “Gar den of Achievement: Blooming for 60 Years”.

The evening’s big winners included Employee of the Year Grades 4-6 Marlence Sammy, a member of the company’s Transmission & Distribution Team and Employee of the Year Grades 7-9 Sharlyn Davidson from its Customer Service department. Roger Joseph, the LUCELEC Senior Manager Strategy Execution & In novation, was recognized on the evening as the Senior Manager of the Year.
Chief Human Resources Officer Sharon Narcisse explained that the purpose of the awards was to nurture a spirit of togetherness, achievement and pride.
During his address, Managing Director Gilroy Pultie spoke of the Company’s many successes. This included its strategic focus, especially as it continues the transitionary path to renewable energy.
Chairman John Joseph, who is also a former member of LUCELEC’s Senior Management Team, challenged team members to continue living LUCELEC’s values, in particular the pursuit of excellence because it is that which would ultimately shape the Company’s future.

LUCELEC Senior Manager of the Year
The 2024 LUCELEC Small Department of the Year was the Information Systems Department and Large Department of the Year, Finance and Accounts. A combined Generation and Maintenance Team was also presented with a Team Award.
