Close to thirty-five Saint Lucians were honored in this year’s National Independence Awards announced February 22nd during the military parade for this year’s Independence Anniversary celebrations.
Saint Lucia is celebrating its 47th anniversary of Independence marked by a range of celebratory activities including a parade of uniformed groups, a business exposition, a youth rally and concert.
A number of persons were recognised for their strong association with business, among them attorney Dr. Stephen David Rupert McNamara, awarded the SAINT LUCIA CROSS For distinguished service in the field of Sports Administration, Financial Services, Hospitality Industry and Law.
THE SAINT LUCIA MEDAL OF HONOUR (GOLD) went to Dr. Christopher Anthony Beaubrun for eminent service rendered in the field of Medicine, Healthcare Development, Public Service and Community Welfare.
