Amy Stephen of Pelican Tours

The village of Anse-la-Raye makes history as the Community Tourism Agency launches its first ever project on the west coast and the first one for 2026.

The lucky entrepreneur to receive that honor is outstanding community youth activist Amy Stephen and the business is called Pelican Tours.

Dahlia Guard - CEO, Community Tourism Agency

Amy Stephens has converted her youthful adventures into a business that showcases the true essence of Ansela-Raye and celebrates the people who add character to the experience.

Amy’s dream became reality after engaging with the Community Tourism Agency, which incidentally was launched in Anse-la-Raye three years ago.

John Mathurin - Deputy Chairman - Board of Directors of the CTA

In her address the CTA’s Chief Executive Officer Dahlia Guard noted that they provided funding through a loan/grant arrangement and facilitated other support services.

Getting to launch was not an easy journey. Those who knew of Amy’s determination testified to her dedication and commitment among them the Deputy Chairman of the CTA John Mathurin.

Wayne Girard - Member of Parliament for Anse-la-Raye

The Parliamentary representative Wayne Girard commended Amy for taking the lead and encourage other West Coast youth to capitalise on the opportunities being created through the Youth Economy and Community Tourism Agencies.

Following the official launch, guests and Anse-la-Raye residents were invited to witness the ribbon cutting ceremony for the head offices of Pelican Tours, the first of many projects the CTA hopes will be inspired by Amy’s groundbreaking initiative.
