Activities announced for World Tourism Day September 27th

The Ministry of Tourism, Investment, Creative Industries, Culture and Information has announced a series of activities to commemorate World Tourism Day 2025, under the global theme “Tourism and Sustainable Transformation”.
This year’s observance highlights the Ministry of Tourism’s ongoing commitment to sustainable tourism development.
The activities commence on September 26th with Glam in Green. Citizens are encouraged to wear green in solidarity with the theme of sustainability.
On World Tourism Day September 27, the Ministry will host a tree planting exercise at Millet. This includes the installation of coconut bird feeders and tree labelling to educate visitors and locals about native tree species.
Also, on September 27 there will be a special broadcast of messages from the Tourism Minister and also the Junior Minister for Tourism.
The messages will highlight the significance of sustainable tourism to Saint Lucia’s development.
The Ministry, under the leadership of Hon Minister, Dr Ernest Hilaire, continues to champion inclusive growth and environmental stewardship as key pillars of Saint Lucia’s tourism development strategy.
The activities planned for World Tourism Day reflect the vision for a more sustainable future.
