Accountants Week 2025 and the evolving role of the profession

Accountants across the Eastern Caribbean have wrapped up a successful week of activities celebrating the evolving role of finance professionals in a rapidly changing economic landscape.


#The Institute of Chartered Accountants of the Eastern Caribbean (ICAEC) hosted Accountants Week 2025 from November 8th to 15th. under the theme “The Evolving Role of Finance Professionals.”


This year’s event brought together accountants, finance professionals, students, and industry partners from Antigua and Barbuda, St. Kitts and Nevis, Dominica, Grenada, and Saint Lucia, fostering collaboration and shared learning across borders.

At the culminating Cocktail, Dinner, and Service Awards for Accountants’ Week, Craig Walter, member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of the Eastern Caribbean (ICAEC) Antigua and Barbuda Branch, reminded participants of the profound importance and integrity the accounting profession has to the advancement of national development.


ICAEC President Andrea St. Rose praised the growing success of Accountants’ Week and highlighted the increased involvement of younger professionals, noting that their energy and adaptability are essential as the accounting landscape continues to evolve.


A Service Award was presented to Mr. Campbell Coates of Antigua and Barbuda, honoring his many years of dedicated service to the accounting profession.
